Petrópolis

Brazil was colonized by the Portuguese, but in 1889 decided that no longer wanted the Monarchy and became a Republic.

In the 19^th century the Royal family chooses Petropolis as their summer vacation destination and besides called the “Imperial City” is now a days  a complex of clothing manufactures. The ride from Rio is around one hour and thirty minutes with a stop on the highway for “meat croquettes”.  We will be visiting the Imperial Museum, Cathedral of São Pedro de Alcantara, the house of Santos Dumont and the Teresa street for shopping. The tour will take 7hrs.
