Búzios and Cabo Frio

Let´s get out of Rio and see how part of carioca people spend their holidays and summer vacation.

To absorb the most of this day trip we must have the sun coming with us. We will be visiting the two main beach towns inside the state of Rio. The ride will last two and a half hour with the departure at 7:30am. Shorts, Bikini, hats, towels and a lot of sum protection required.

Cabo Frio is the city where the middle class goes to spend their summer vacation. The 8^th developed city in Brazil due to the exploitation of the Brazilian tree in the 16^th century  was soon occupied by the Portuguese. We will be seeing the Fort Beach, the Fort  São Mateus itself, the entrance of the Itajuru Canal and down town area.

Búzios is at 30 minutes away.

Búzios a small fishing village with over 20.000 residents, began its tourism growth after the visit of French actress Brigitte Bardot in the middle 60s. We will see 10 of the 23 beaches located in the peninsula. There will be a Taxi boat ride included to João Fernandes Beach. The boat goes on the side of the coast line making a very safe ride. At the end, a walk at the famous Rua das Pedras, Stone Street for late lunch and shopping. We might be back to Rio at 7pm.
