About me


My name is Rogerio Lucena born in 1963 in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. I grew up on the streets of Copacabana neighborhood, area 5, and  from the 70´s a very much saw the big transitions in town.  In 2005 I decided to make a big change in my life and left a partnership on a mexican food business to go on tourism. It was not easy to leave everything  behind and at the age of 42 go to a new career.

Today I am absolutly sure I did the best working decition of my life having the pleasure to do someting I really enjoy. The most interesting thing about it is to meet new people every day, at the same time that I am giving a lot of information I get to learn a lot from my clients.

I have been guiding over 200 people every year and also renting 70% of the apartments I manage. I am very positive sure that at he end of your vacation you will not only miss Rio, but will have made a  new friend.

When i was younger I used to spent a lot of time at  the beach specially inside the occean. It might sound a bit crazy, but also on stormy days I was able to swim out relax and fill it as the most peaceful place on earth. I still go bodysurfing, but not like I did before.

Besides the tours, during day time, we can go:
  • bodysurfing
  • play beach volley ball
  • learn how to surf

To improve my guiding skills one of my new hobbies is to learn how to dance. Still a lot to go!!Make sure you have in mind that there  will be bars, restaurants, music  and dance.
